Underground to Canada is the historical story of freedom and survival told through the eyes of two young girls. The story surrounds Julilly and Liza, who with their friends, Lester and Adam, escape from a life of slavery on a cotton plantation in the Deep South. The story follows the two young girls as they travel through the United States along the "underground railway" to reach their final destination, Canada. During their journey, the two girls get separated from their friends and must make the long treacherous journey alone. They are encountered with many obstacles, but are helped through.
