Great book for those interested in survival themes. Also a good read for children whose parents have filed for divorce.
★★★☆☆ One of the worst books I've read

This book is horrible. I can see why people would like it, but if you ask me it’s one of the worst books I’ve ever read. The end is decent with the interview and saying he lost weight but other wise I think it's kind of unrealistic. I liked the start and when he was actually doing good survival wise but other wise I thought it could have done a ton better. I liked the story but how it was done just seemed somewhat rushed and if it did go on longer they could have put more detail in which would have been nice.
★★★★★ I Like This Book!

This book is about a boy who is going to his dad’s house and the plane crashes into the wilderness. He has to learn to survive by himself. In the end he survives and gets picked up. It is a really good book even if you don’t care about survival. I personally really like this book.

This was an awesome book because it had a lot of action in it and it also had a lot of detail.

Hatchet was about a boy named Brian who was going Canada to visit his father and then suddenly the pilot of the plane had a heart attack. I liked how the book was very intence.
★☆☆☆☆ This is the Worst Book Ever

Camping in the wilderness is scary. But when you are alone for six months like young Brian was, it's not easy, and it's terrifying. A strength of this book is that Gary Paulsen wrote the book with very professional grammar, text, and stayed on theme and didn't write random stuff. Although, for me, it was very hard to stay focused and fully understand what his writing meant. My personal opinion on Hatchet is that I would definitely not re-read this book and I probably wouldn't recommend this to anyone to read.
★★★★★ Hatchet Book Review

In Hatchet Brian has crashed-landed in a lake with only himself and a hatchet. First, he mopes around but then realizes that if he keeps on being sad he will die. Gary Paulsen is really good at describing what it is like to be stranded in the forest. The book was kind of confusing at some parts but most of the time it was fine. I think you should read it twice because it is so good! I recommend this book.

Hatchet is about a boy named Brian who is going to see his dad in Canada. Then the pilot has a heart attack and Brain crashes and is forced to survive in the Canadian wilderness. The book did do good at making it suspenseful. But the down side is that the book is sort.I liked the book personally but it moved around a lot. It would go from a week to forty seven days. That was my review on Gary Paulsen's hit book hatchet.
★★★★★ Great Book
