PNLS Headquarters staff are available through a variety of consulting and training services to help member library staff to work more effectively in both the school and public system. 

Telephone Consulting

For consulting help, you can call us toll-free at 1-866-396-8818 or at 306-425-4525 from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. If the situation cannot be resolved over the telephone or through a web conference meeting, arrangements will be made for a trip to your library. 

Face-to-Face Training

Consulting staff can come to your library to help you with an issue or with a major project like inventory or weeding, or member library staff can be brought in to headquarters for training. We do make ourselves available to school visits but our headquarters provides a place with fewer distractions which improves learning. PNLS has copies of L4U and Polaris to assist us in training new member library staff on how to use their own integrated library system.

Workshops

From time to time, PNLS sponsors workshops for member library staff or boards. If you have a topic that you think everyone will benefit from, let the PNLS headquarters staff know, and if there are funds available a workshop will be held.

Northern Library Conference

Pahkisimon Nuye?áh Library System holds an annual Northern Libraries Conference where it brings together all member library staff in the North. The Northern Libraries Conference is open to all our member library staff and all partnering organizations' library staff.
